I recently took another trip up north, right here in my beautiful state of Michigan, to visit the Rollganic crew on their farm. It’s always a rewarding experience to spend time with them, especially during the transition season when plant care is critical. We spent some time talking about the key steps to ensure a healthy crop as the seasons change. I enjoy seeing the passion they apply towards growing the best crop possible.
Randall was hard at work, stripping the lower leaves and managing the plant foliage to maintain open airflow, a crucial step in reducing the risk of pathogens. Meanwhile, Jason was focused on fertilizing, preparing to introduce a new flower food soon. Walking the farm with the team, I couldn’t help but admire their dedication to their craft. We also highlighted a couple strains on the farm. When it comes to marketing cannabis, this is relatively new ground. Things change in the industry overnight. With so many cannabis products on the shelves, marketing your products is probably the most important thing a brand in this industry could do at this given moment. It going to be about brand recognition more than ever, as the products continue to flood market shelves.
It’s in these moments that I see the connection between what they do and what I do. Whether it’s growing top-quality cannabis or creating a film, the difference between good and great comes down to dedication and hard work.
